Print to Campus Printers from Wherever You Are

MPrint is U-M's Web-based printing service, which allows campus community members to print from their Internet-enabled on- or off-campus computer to any networked campus printers. Whether you're using a desktop or laptop computer, you can print to MPrint.

Two Easy Steps

1. Choose a Printer
You can print to B&W and color printers at the following locations:

  • Campus Computing Sites
  • Residence Hall Computing Sites
  • Certain University Library Printers
  • Various Other Campus Locations

2. Upload Files to MPrint
U-M students, faculty, and regular staff can upload files to the MPrint site via an authenticated Web interface. Your uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password are required. Printable file types include:

  • Microsoft Office file formats
  • PDF
  • PostScript
  • Text

Charging and Billing Info

Documents failing to print are not charged. Students receive 400 free black and white (B&W) letter-sized impressions per term with a 6¢ charge for impressions printed beyond 400. Color printing is charged to the student account from the first page at 40¢ per letter-size impression. Each 11"x17" impression counts as two letter-size impressions. Faculty and staff receive 50 free B&W letter-size impressions per term with a 6¢ charge for impressions printed beyond 50. Faculty and staff need to arrange funding for their account using a shortcode in order to print beyond 50 pages of B&W or to print color. Contact the Accounts Office at 734-764-8000 to set up this arrangement.
